Features

  • Significantly improved noise reduction across a wider range of frequencies. Proprietary Bose innovations now use microphones both inside and outside each earcup to sense and reduce more ambient aircraft noise.

  • TriPort® acoustic headset structure, available only from Bose, produces tonally balanced audio from relatively small and lightweight headphones.

Q: I have the U174 version of the A20 and would like to convert it to GA dual plug using an adapter. Do I need to use an impedance adapter or just a normal helicopter to dual plug adapter? Is the A20 considered high or low impedance? Thanks

It depends on the model you have. If you have a U-174 helicopter version of the Bose A20, a standard converter, like part # 11-10650, will work fine. If you have the low impedance U-174 military Bose A20, you will need an adapter like part # 11-10645.

Q: Does this part no. 11-08731, Bose A20 headset with U-174 military plug come with the 5 ohm dynamic microphone?

Yes, this will come with the 5-ohm dynamic microphone used in military applications.

Q: Is part no. 11-08731, Bose A20 headset with U-174 plug the low impedance version?

Yes, part # 11-08731 is the low impedance version.

Q: 1.We operate low-impedance(ics) helicopters and high-impedance helicopters. 2.Where can I check (low-impedance and high-impedance) on the boss headset? 3.Do I need to use an impedance converter to use a20 (with Bluetooth) for low impedance helicopters? 4. Is a20(with Bluetooth) low impedance headset being produced?

Part # 11-08731 is a low impedance headset. Yes, if you want to use this headset in a high impedance environment, you would need a converter, like Part# 11-06531.

Q: Is the A20 headset with U174 military version (no Bluetooth) mono only or can be switched to stereo?

These headsets have a switch in the remote that allows to switch between mono and stereo applications.
