Device is stone simple to use. Basically just hook it up and plug it in. It gives a lot of information on its face about the state of the battery. After 2 weeks of service the device has charged my 4 year old RG25XC to fully charged status and the “weak battery” light has gone out. Hoping to extend the life of this battery and hopefully next battery will last more than the average I’ve had of 5 years.

Ive been using two of these type of chargers (Model 128CEC1-AA-S3) on experimental airplanes for several years. They definitely increase the life of your battery! . This charger/maintainer will pay for itself given the price of replacement aircraft batteries. With electronic ignitions being more common, knowing that your battery is in good shape is very important. VDC stands behind their product with a no hassles warranty! After a few years of regular use, one of my chargers failed. Much to my surprise, VDC replaced my charger with a new one. No hassle. I bought the equivalent model charger from Aircraft Spruce a few batteries back, and it has worked great up until it died a few weeks ago. My only issue is with the temperature sensor: my previous battery came with the temperature sensor lead. The new one didnt. Aircraft Spruce is now selling the sensor separately for $23.70 on top of the $270 for the charger itself.
