FLIGHT DATA OAT PROBE FOR GT50
Super small and easy to install. We used single conductor shielded 22ga with the shield as the ground back to the GT-50. This unit and the multi-function clock are a super value.

Works great. It agrees with what my CHT, and EGT temps are showing, sitting in the shop. My plane is an experimental,, with removable wings. They suggest mounting this in the wing, outside the propeller arc. This probe, is so small, I mounted mine, behind the spinner.
Updated probe is easy to install with threaded attachment including nut, washer and but splice connectors installed on the probe leads
To be able to see how cold you are is very important. As in look honey we really are cold it is 32 degrees outside and look our true airspeed is...

Probe is threaded on the wrong side. To remove the panel or fairing the probe is installed in, you have to cut the wires or let the panel dangle on two # 28 wires. Installation hole is too small for a connector. Very poor engineering. I hope the clock portion is better thought out.

Was easy to install and wire. Seems to consistently read between 4-12 degrees F high in all conditions. Havent figured out a way to calibrate. Wanted it mostly to determine exact freezing level when flying IFR. Useless for that. I think its just a token temperature reading that looks cool on the display but will need to continue using my old Scott OAT probe instead.
