Overview

Wing tips are a common victim of hanger and ramp rash. Maybe you thought the plane was going to clear those doors as you wheeled it back into the hanger...the first indication that you were wrong was that grating sound as the wing tip met metal. Here's the solution: replacement fiberglass wing tips from Stene Aviation.

This upgraded fairing fit perfectly on my 172L. Much tougher than the plastic ones that it replaced.

Weve installed lots of these fiberglass tips: wing, elevators, dorsal, etc. They are much more durable than the factory plastic. The fit is usually not perfect but they can be heated using a standard electric heat gun and formed to fit your airplane perfectly.

This mid dorsal fairing (05-03759) fit right into the hole, and matched up perfectly on my 172P.

The part does not fit as it should. There are gaps between the skin and the part at the at the front end and the aft end once you fit it in the best it can be done.

Q: Im looking at the wing tips for the 172B and it doesnt identify which part number is for left and which is for right. Am I to assume part# 05-03726 is for the left and part# 05-03727 is for the right?

Correct, 05-03726 is LH and 05-03727 is RH.
