Q: The ad says 8 ft available, then down in the specs it says 12 feet available, which is it, I need 12 ft

This is available in 4, 6, 8 and 12 feet on request.

Q: Is the wire solid or multi strand and what is the cable housing material?

The wire on this specific control is twisted cable 1/16 7x7 stainless steel. The housing is high temp, and teflon lined.
