Purchased Granville Strut Seal and some 5606H. Used this with the Bogert Strut Filler Tool. Outstanding results! Easy peasy. Clean and efficient!

This stuff is UNBELIEVABLE!!! I had a completely flat front strut that wouldnt hold air whatsoever. The existing fluid level was at about 75% full but the strut cylinder was wet from obvious fluid leaking. My mechanic told me about this stuff (expensive as it may be) and I decided to give it a shot. Everyone else said I need to rebuild the strut with new rings so I ordered a rebuild kit too. We inserted the Granville to see if it would work and it is absolutely a miracle cure. One week later and about 8 crosswind take off and landings its still holding strong. $50 bucks for 4oz but it saved me about $300 in strut rebuild labor.

We keep it in stock at our maintenance hangar. Every strut re-seal we use it. Have never had a comeback with a strut issue.

Im skeptical about snake oil products and ordered the strut rebuild kit at the same time to have on hand. Bottom line is I have a strut rebuild kit for sale if anyone is interested?!

I was dubious about this product when I first bought it. To me, it seems a bit like snake oil a magic elixir providing an easy fix. However, I thought it worth the gamble compared to the labor and cost involved in disassembling the strut. That was six months ago and the strut hasnt leaked since, so Im now buying a second bottle to keep on hand for when one of the other struts start to show a problem.

Have used Granville Strut Seal since 2002 and it works great. Only problem, and it is a small one...the plastic tube is to big to go into the opening where the air valve is..

We have used this product on a wide variety of airplanes from Cessna 150's to 421's. Bottom line: it works. We're dealing with 50 + year old airplanes that have a fair amount of wear on the barrels and other components. Granville's additive makes a significant difference with zero negative side effects.

I used this product over 10 years ago on the strut on my cessna 172. Is was going flat everytive it got real cold out. It worked wonders and it has been over 10 years and I still have not had to rebuild the strut and it has not gone flat. Can't guarantee it will work for you but is worth a try.

I bought the light aircraft kit with 8 oz. Unfortunately, the fluid volume for the three oleos for my Pazmany PL-2 is about 27 oz per strut and the required ratio of product to fluid is 8 parts 5606 to 1 part product, so I need 3 oz per strut and I am 1 oz short. Not sure if Im going to short change all three struts equally, or use 3 oz in the mains and 2 oz in the nose strut. Disappointing, but Ill still try it.

There was no black tube as stated in the instructions. What tubing was there was too short to reach anything. Ran around for another hour and fortyfive minutes trading to find something to fit with no luck. As for the sealing part I havent been back to the airport to see.

Product may work fine, but instructions are rather feeble and seemed to not work. Now, I dont how to get it into the strut!

Horrible application bottle, instructions states ”black tube” however it had a white one that was too small for the tube. Wasted $40 and have a mess to clean up on a product that says be cafe not to spill on anything.

I had hoped that this would work, but it didnt. was very disappointed and probably should have just re built the front wheel strut to begin with. Now Ill get seal kit and do it right
