Note: Westberg 712 Series Thermocouples are for Non-TSO’d CHT & EGT Gauges only. They have two small pins which are the same size.

I had these on my Rotax 503 engine and I recently did a rebuild on it. I broke one trying to get it out of the exhaust manifold. I really liked these as they go under the head bolts and eliminated the problem with compromising the end that goes against the head every time I changed my spark plugs. I had two sets that went under the plugs before I got ones like these that went under a head bolt. They lasted a long time. I definitely recommend these. Purchase and shipment from Aircraft Spruce was prompt and problem free.

Was carefully tightening the probe nut into the pipe and with hardly any pressure whatsoever it snapped right off. I have done bodywork for 40 years so I know what it takes to overtorque a nut

Neither manufacturer was able to confirm compatibility. We were offered these specs for the probe: This probe is a type k probe that is 48in long and rounded.

Yes, this is compatible with those two units.

Garmin recommends Garmin probes with the G3X.
