Part number 11-04603 DAVTRON TEMPERATURE PROBE 12FT. WHITE (ANALOG) is the correct probe required for the Aerovonics AV-20 instrument. Part arrived fast from Spruce East in factory packaging.

I purchased the C307PS for use with the Aerovonics AV-20-S and it works very well (www.aerovonics.com). Make sure to observe proper polarity when installing or the unit will not be recognized (flip the wires if needed). Unit comes with a nut and star washer to properly mount it but no radiant energy barrier like my EDM-830 has so well see how it acts on the ramp. Very pleased.

Im in the process of installing an AV-20S with the optional AOT. Davtron neither included an installation diagram with the unit nor the the diagram online mention both wires polarity. I looked at all other probes they have listed on their website and none of them mention polarity either. I know sometimes it doesnt matter, but in this case, I didnt wanna burn a $1000 unit or have to go back under the panel to redo wires... Davtron customer service confirmed my suspicion that the WHITE and BLUE wire is the hot wire. I run the Ohmmeter before calling them, to no avail. Other than that, the unit looks well built and the wire is long enough to install the probe far away from any heat source.

Q: is the c307ps probe a a j or k type tc.?

Per Davtron, this an analog AD590 it is current drawing not resistive.

Q: Does this probe (part # 11-04603) measure C or F?

Yes , This probe measures temperature range from -55 c to +125 c (-67 F to +257 F) .

Q: On the c307ps white wire is Positive white/blue Neg. but Garmin GTX330 pin outs say Probe IN and Probe OUT. is the white (POS) wire IN or OUT?

The positive wire would have to go in the IN position.

Q: Can the C307PS be shortened in length to approx 2.5 to 3 ft? Would this affect performance?

Per the manufacturer, you are able to shorten the length without affecting calibration.

Q: Is the 7/16 nut and the washer that holds the O ring included with the C307PS probe (part number 11-04603)? Or must they be purchased separately?

Yes those are included.

Q: Hi , can you confirm if p/n 11-04603 DAVTRON TEMPERATURE PROBE 12FT. WHITE (ANALOG) and 10-07292 MCI CHRONOS DIGITAL CLOCK 6420093-5 work together ?

Per manufacturer,"The ch93 supports two different types of temperature probes; rtd and current sense devices". Being that this probe is current sensing, it should be compatible.
