The 3/16 sleeves I used worked well. The 3/16 thimble was smaller (tighter radius) than I expected, found a larger one at a hardware store my my application.

This is the only item I could find that could be used to connect wires in a steam mop (or other small appliance like a box fan) to a non-resetable type thermal cutoff fuse, since the fuses are not solderable and must be crimped to its connecting wires. This size would have been better if it was just half as long, so I cut one in half lengthwise to make it work. The resulting crimp (using vise-grips) is very strong.

Sleeve failed! I made a 3/16” brake cable for an Aeronca Champ and used the sleeve properly with a thimble. Used the proper swaging tool. One push of the brakes and it failed.
