Easy drop-in replacement for my 15-year-old Comant that had the same bolt pattern. Definitely well built and high quality. The reception is quite good as well. Overall very pleased.

I can't comment on performance of the antenna yet. This product does not include screws..... I had to order screws from Spruce and am waiting for them to arrive.... You would think that for $ 174.00 that they would at least throw in a 4 screws...... Poor form, so far.

Ive used Comant on other homebuilt projects and had no complaint. I guess I just didnt read all of the text or ask questions on this one. I received the box, and as stated, there was an antenna and a gasket in it. Period. Not even instructions! (not that you really need em, but still, theres usually something with an admonition that you shouldnt take a shower with this thing while its radiating). Fortunately, I had some thicker stock to use as a backer/baseplate, and I drilled 4 holes for the 8-32 screws I had, so its all installed just fine.
