Q: Will this antenna work with the Garmin GDL 39R ADS-B that is hooked up to a Garmin G3X?

Yes this antenna could work. You could also use 11-17965.

Q: Can the Comant CI-305 be used without part # 09-05579?

You must install this as required by the manufacturer. Per the installations they require an RTV sealant around the periphery of the antenna.

Q: Will this antenna work with Garmin GTX 345R ADS-B transponder as well as a King KN-63 DME Receiver / Transmitter? Secondly, is there any make/model of a DME/Transponder antenna that serves both devices or must one have a separate antenna for each device? Looking at the various antenna descriptions in Aircraft Spruce, some say DME/Transponders while others say DME or Transponder.

Yes, this antenna will work for both functions. It is certified and the gasket is sold separately.
