Used to replace my old InterAv regulator. Was more work than just replacing the regulator (some re-wiring) but works great.

I had been chasing alternator problems, it would come online then off again. My C172 (1965 F) had standard Cessna voltage reg and Electrodelta over voltage sensor. Narrowed it down to faulty Over voltage sensor. Cost to replace about same as plane power R1224-14v. Easy decision for me. Get rid of separate device and upgrade newer technology to all in one. Tech support was extremely knowledgeable on pre-purchase questions. Install was a breeze. Everything changed out and adjusted in less than 30 minutes, and no more alternator problems problems. I even got back my over/under voltage warning indicator that someone had disconnected who knows when? Even if it goes out in 3-5 years as some say, $190 bucks is a cheep throwaway, and Iâll be glad to get a new one.

Easy to hook up and works right out of the box , replaced a Over Votage relay and regulater at the same time that is no longer avalible , saves room for being small in size

Quality part, much better than original STC unit. Adjustable voltage, set at lowest voltage from factory, had to adjust to get proper voltage. Excellent paperwork included.

Voltage regulator worked great once it was wired correctly. We followed the instructions for our plane, making sure that we followed them correctly. Problem is that the instructions were wrong. Tech Support was very helpful in telling us the right wiring diagram.

Screws are pretty small for an old guy working under the panel upside down. I should have relocated it to the firewall like most of them are.

Per the supplier: No, these units are not equipped with noise reduction.

Q: Does this Plane Power Powerflex voltage regulator replace InterAv P/N 625-61623? 14 volt Neg ground?

Yes, per the Fit Guide PDF in the "Application Guide" tab of the web page, part number R1224 (our part number 07-01305) will replace InterAv 625-61623. However, we recommend that you verify your aircraft application using the fit guide to confirm it is the correct replacement.

Q: Is the 12-1021 adapter plate included?

No, the 12-1021 adapter plate is not included but can be purchased separately.

Q: What's the difference between the R1224 and R1224B products? Which one is appropriate for E-AB aircraft? Which one is compatible with the Plane Power C14-100 alternator?

The only difference between the two products is the mounting base. Both would be appropriate for an E-AB aircraft along with the Plane Power C14-100 alternator.

Q: Does the unit come with wire connectors that fit the terminals on the regulator? Does not appear that the existing aircraft terminal ends will fit the regulator.

Yes, this will come with the connectors.

Q: What is the warranty period of the Plane Power R1224 voltage regulator?

All warranty issues / requests on this regulator must be handled direct with Plane Power:
