Fit perfectly and easy installed

Fits great on my Sting S4. Plenty of room and love the safety wire tabs after having a Rotax filter loosen up on me.

It fit easily on the 912is even with the safety tabs.

Works well. I also had the problem of the safety wire tabs hitting the exhaust manifold during installation on my 912S Flight Design CTSW. I use a hammer to tap the tabs flush with the can and then install the filter. After the filter is fully seated I use a screwdriver to bend out the one tab I wish to safety wire to. It is ridiculous that the Rotax oil filters do NOT have safety wire tabs.

Fits Flight Design CTLSi and an added benefit is you can safety wire it. Why Rotax is allowed to sell theirs without safety wire and not get sued is a mystery to me. It is not like you can pull over if you loose oil due to a filter that works its way loose.

This filter looks very well but in my plane a Dynamic WT9 they don´t fit in my engine because they are a little bit larger than the original ROTAX filter and they have four studs for safety wire that is a good thing but they don´t fit in my Rotax 912 engine. I will have to order the original ROTAX filter. Tempest must fix this because his filter don´t fit all the ROTAX engines

Yes, it fits my ROTAX 912S installation (Flight Design CTSW), but just barely. And it does the job its supposed to do.

While I like the safety wire tabs the filter is longer than the Rotax filter and requires removing the exhaust manifold to get the filter off and on. I am going back to the Rotax brand filter

This filter has 4 tabs on the top to allow safety wiring (unlike the ROTAX). That seems good, but the filter does not fit between the exhaust manifold and the oil filter threaded stud without removing the exhaust manifold on my Rotax engine. May be peculiar to my LSA layout, but its a colossal disappointment. The filter itself seems like a great unit if it fits your plane. Perhaps Tempest could offer a version without the tabs for those of us who cant stand any extra length.

This filter is not really directly suitable for the Rotax 912. The wire tie fittings on the end of the filter hit the exhaust from the nearest cylinder and to install the filter you have to loosen the exhaust. I will go back to the Rotax filters.

Does not fit 912UL in Tecnam P2008. Too tall to clear the exhuast.
