The tires were orederd to replace the stock Beringer tires. These work very well with the Beringer 6 rims.

I purchased this as a replacement for a Trac-gard, 2.80.2,50-4 and was a bit surprised at how much bigger it is than the Trac-gard (diameter and width). Clearances are a bit tight in my circumstance but I over purchased in this case. Definitely a quality tire and Im crossing my fingers that landing and taxi loads dont cause me problems because Id like to be able to stay with it.

This tire is 11-400-5 size. The correct tube would be 06-00716.
The only definitive cause for replacement is if the cord is showing in the tread. Otherwise, it's at the discretion of the operator. Just like on your car,if a tire is bald you'd probably want to replace unless you like to live life dangerously. A bald aircraft tire has a tendency to hydroplane on a wet runway.
Tubes are not included with the tires. They must be purchased separately.
