Works as it should. Installed to control the air going thru my oil cooler. so I can adjust how much or how little air I want to go thru it. To help control the oil temp in the engine on cold days.

This is a nice quality pull cable control. It looks like a plastic knob but as the description says its anodized aluminum. Its perfect for my parking brake control cable.

I used it to replace a non-locking carb heat control. The button was a little difficult to push in at first but now is working perfectly. Instructions warning was very helpful.

Q: what size ball bearing is used with A-700 button lock dash control?

It is an 1/8" diameter bearing, part number 05-02618.

Q: What is the outside diameter of the knob on this A-700 Button Lock Dash Control?

The knob diameter of this control is approximately 1".

Q: What is the outside diameter of the casing on the cable for this A-700 Button Lock Dash Control?

The OD of the cable housing is approximately 3/16".

Q: What is the outside diameter of the control knob is for the A-700 control cable?

The knob on the A-700 controls is approximately 1" diameter.

Q: When the knob is pushed all the way in, how far does the A-700 control protrude from the mounting surface?

Approximately 1.5 inches.

Q: Can the A-700 cable be cut down to any size, and can the wire be bent around a 3/16th bolt for a custom application?

Yes, they can be shortened and the wire should be fine wrapped around a 3/16 diameter.

Q: What is the panel mounting hole size for the A-700 control?

This requires a 7/16" hole in the panel for installation.

Q: Is there any low friction inner cable coating?

These have a polyethylene liner. These parts can be special ordered without an inner liner.

Q: What is the minimum length this can be shortened to?

You could cut all of the flexible portion off so that would just leave the 6" rigid end.

Yes they are all the same length.
