As advertised.
BONDERITE C-IC 33 AERO - ALUMIPREP 33 GALLON
Works quickly and thoroughly. Used to prep machined aluminum parts prior to alodine 1201 treatment and the results were outstanding.
Worked great! Had a spider from an older HE3 Whirlpool Front Load washer go bad. Got a good used one that needed a good cleaning. Afterwards a basic wash in C-IC 33 AERO to remove whatever it removes :-) and water no longer beaded, and coated it in enamel to protect against corrosion as recommended by other techs. Well see how long this one lasts!
Excellent service
Good chemical to preclean aluminum prior to painting to remove oxidation. Best shipping prices.
Done what was expected, Cleaned very well.
works really well diluted per instructions
I have not used it much but from what I see it is very effective.
Product performed as expected & received in good condition. The only thing I would suggest, is if a product is not stocked or out of stock & has to be brought in from a supplier, informing the customer of a delivery date should be done, I had to telephone to find out the date the expected delivery to your warehouse was.
This review is for people like me in search for the magic chemical that will clean heavy oxidation from cast aluminum (transfer cases, engines, etc.). Im sure this product would be a 5 star for airplane painting. For my application I thought this is the killer product that will save me from doing media blasting. It works some but only when used undiluted and using a lot of elbow grease with a wire brush (use stainless steel). I tried it on a small and simple cast part. I was hoping for a good results on this project so I can later use it co clean a transfer case/differential that has too much details to want to scrub by hand. A chemical solution would be ideal. Unfortunately this does requires a lot of scrubbing to get heavy oxidized aluminum bright. To be fair I tried a lot of chemicals and none was great. Actually this is one of the best but still not good enough for the job. Im sure this would be great for painting airplanes used as directed. But Im not paining any airplanes.

This product has a twelve month shelf life from the day the container is opened, but no longer than 24 months from the date of manufacture total.
The material is recommended to be used on bare aluminum. Test panels would need to be done to see if it would disturb the type of paint on your project.
As soon as the metal is fully dry and free of moisture you can apply primer.

The answer is yes. This is phosphoric acid and of you applied to an anodized surface, yes, there is a major risk of damaging the anodized surface.
