Q: What material is this Precision PACMG-2 Universal Glare Shield / Deck Mount made of?

The bracket itself is 5052 aluminum. There is also a polyfoam pad, anodized screws, elastic stop nuts, and rubber gaskets.

Q: Part # 10-07500: can you tell me what size the main opening is? Will this accept a 2-1/4 panel mount compass?

The hole is 2-1/4" and will work for your compass.
