I was upgrading from a generation 3 iPad mini. I used a ram roller cradle for that and its never failed. I liked the fact that I could install the ball on the back for either landscape or portrait mounting. This onew Ram cradle is just as functional and sturdy as my previous one. It has a slot for the apple pencil but does not charge the pencil. I give this 4 stars since it does not charge the apple pencil. My idea of using ForeFlights scratchpad to take my CRAFT notes may not pan out. Otherwise, this cradle is just fine for mounting my gen 6 iPad Mini.
