Universal EGT Probe Type K Model Mm-111

Part# 11-01022
MFR Model# MM-111

The model MM-111 probe (type K) is applicable to any type of aircraft exhaust gas temperature indicator that uses type K thermocouple as its electrical source. The MM-111 is designed to universally replace all chromel alumel (type K) thermocouples regardless of manufacturer or design. The Universal MM-111 probe is FAA/PMA approved.

With the Universal MM-111 probe you receive the benefits of unique, non-welded construction utilizing a new, exclusive, space-age technology. This assures you thousands of hours of trouble-free operation. The faster, almost immediate response to temperature changes results in better control of engine performance. Installation is simple and requires no welding or special tools. The MM-111 offers superior performance at a reasonable price.

Please note, all thermocouples/probes regardless of manufacturer are identified by the color of their terminal lead wires. A type K thermocouple/probe will have one wire color coded red, and the other yellow.

Probe fit as a direct replacement and was easier to install in a P32T. The red and yellow leads would be better with opposing lengths, but just folded the red and covered with existing sleeve. Probe is more sensitive, which allowed a more accurate setting during run up.

Simple and effective. I haven’t tested its operation but the install is easy and the quality of the components appears to be quite good. Looks better than the original EI equivalent. Note, the leads are longer than EI probes, so be prepared to adjust your wires to fit.

Works great with my JPI for almost half the price. Appears to be well constructed with built in strain-relief. Only time will tell the rest of the story, but my factory JPI probe only lasted 600 hours so JPI didnt set a high bar.

Q: Does this include clamp for a 3.5 exhaust tube?

Yes, the EGT probe MM-111 (11-01022) includes a clamp, however this clamp is only 1.56"-2.5". A 3.5" clamp can be ordered separately, please contact sales for a quote.

Q: Are these EGT probes grounded? Apparently JPI uses grouded probes. So the probes to their EDMs need to have grounded probes.

Yes, this is a grounded probe.

Q: Since this is a grounded probe, is it incompatible with EI systems?

We cannot recommend any other probe other than an EI probe for an EI system/unit.

Q: What is the heat range of this probe MM-111?

This probe reads temps up to 1500*F.

Q: What is the impedance of this probe? 3.03 ohms?

Per the Manufacturer: The probe has 1.8 to 2.0 ohms.
