Installed with a G3X, so the AoA is functional and reliable. Gretz Tube Bracket was used for the mount. Its rock solid and functions beautifully.

Per Garmin, the G3X AOA GAP 26 Heated and Regulated Pitot tube comes with the Heater Control Box Garmin PN: 011-02965-00.

PN: 13-05610 fits The GAP 26 perfectly.

Q: Does the G3X AOA GAP 26 pitot tube come with the mount for it?

Unfortunately, no the pitot tube part number 11-12973 does not come with any mounting hardware.

Q: Is the product available in both 12V and 24V versions?

Yes, contact sales for a special order quote if you have a 24V aircraft.

Q: Which mount suits Garmin GAP 26 pitot tube?

The PBK-12 will work.

Q: Can we install this as a standalone heated pitot tube or does it need the g3x to work?

This is intended to work with the Garmin G3X system, it is not meant to be used as a stand alone.

Q: Can the Garmin G3X AOA be installed onto certified aircraft?

No, we can only sell this for install in experimental aircraft only.

Q: In addition to the wires required to power the heaters, how many other wires are required to provide the signals back to the G3X or the GI 260 remote display?

The GAP communicates with the display through a module. This unit must be connected to the Pitot/Static system which the module controls the input.
